Wawanesa
offers many recreational options that are
enjoyed throughout the year. During the summer,
activities ranging from a day at the pool
to fishing in the Souris River can be enjoyed.
In winter, there are snowmobile trails, cross-country
skiing along the river as well as hockey and
curling. For its size, Wawanesa is one of
the only local towns to feature such offerings
as an outdoor pool, 3 ball diamonds, and an
arena and four sheets of curling ice with
artificial ice in both that are combined into
one facility.
