The Wawanesa War Memorial was constructed in 1921, in
memory of those who perished in World War I and World
War II.
The following is inscribed on the Wawanesa Cenotaph.
This Monument was erected by a grateful people in
memory of those who gave their lives for freedom in the
Great War 1914-1918
"Greater love has no man than this that a man lay
down his life for his friends"
